- North Central Region Cadet Competition Academy - This virtual Cadet Competition Academy from 25-27 August fosters more efficient, more competitive, and more consistent competitions across the region in three tracks: Cadet Competitors- Senior Escorts- Judges/Project Directors. National has added a link on every CAP website entitled "Ways to Give." It takes visitors to a special sdwg.cap.org page. There are limitations on fundraising via a .GOV website. Squadron websites have a link similar to a ".ORG" page. - The current Cadet Advisory Council term ends 30 September. Squadron commanders have received information about applications for the region and national CACs, and about squadron appointments of primary and alternate wing CAC representatives.
SDWG cadets will perform a color guard ceremony on August 13 for the Daughters of the American Revolution annual picnic in Sioux Falls. SDEA Summer Academy. Col Mary Donley and Lt Col Bill Strandell presented an hour-long breakout session at this conference of educators. At least 18 teachers attending expressed interest in Aerospace Education membership. - Funding is still available from the July SAREX through the end of August. Contact DO/ES concerning additional training.
