CAP Lt Col Bruce Kipp died this past Saturday, June 10th, at Oaklawn Nursing and Rehab Center in Mankato. His wife, Bonnie, tells us that they will not have a funeral service. Bruce is best known in CAP for his work in Public Affairs, having served as SDWG PAO, as well as a range of other South Dakota positions, on NCR staff, North Dakota Wing, and in Montana Wing, where he joined CAP. Lawrence County Missing Person Search - Lawrence County authorities called for South Dakota Wing support in a search for a missing autistic teenager. A CAP aircrew scoured the area around Iron Lake. CAP ground and drone teams were on the way to the remote location when the boy was found safe in Sturgis, miles away.

Crazy Horse Memorial - Members of CAP's Crazy Horse Composite Squadron supported the 75th-anniversary celebration of the start of work on the giant Crazy Horse Memorial mountain carving. The squadron has a long-term relationship with the memorial, north of Custer, which served as the squadron's namesake. (See photo)
